RESTORED  8-DAY CLOCK IN A WALNUT CASE

 

Lofthouse Antiques: This is a well proportioned 8-day clock which is housed in a walnut case.


It has an arched brass face with a silvered chapter ring and working seconds dial and date aperture. 


The numerals are Roman and Arabic.


The movement is clean and has been restored. It keeps good time.


The hood is supported on wooden pillars to the front with quarter roundels to the rear. It has glazed apertures to the sides and the case is solid and has a beautifully-aged patina. 


It has a full-length door with arched top and moulding, and has some discreet inlay around the perimeter. 


The door has a brass escutcheon and a working lock and key.


H = 88.75”  W = 20”  D = 9.5”
